After Peter Andre Vows to “Deal With” Katie Price’s ‘Repeated Lies’, His Manager Sparks Mystery With Chilling Post About ‘Dangerous Anger’
Peter Andre’s long-time manager has posted an ominous message just hours after the singer publicly vowed to confront what he called 16 years of “baseless lies” from ex-wife Katie Price.
Claire Powell — founder of The Can Group management agency — once managed both Katie and Peter, masterminding their lucrative reality TV career and helping to earn them millions. But when the couple split in 2009, Claire cut ties with Katie and continued to represent Peter. Today, she also manages Princess and Junior, Peter’s children with Katie, along with his wife Emily.
On Thursday night, the 52-year-old singer dropped a bombshell Instagram statement accusing Katie of spreading untruths for over a decade and a half.
Just three hours later, Claire took to Instagram herself, posting:
“The most dangerous anger comes from someone with a good heart. They hold it in, stay calm, and forgive — until one day, they can’t anymore. Don’t push a good person too far.”
The cryptic message was accompanied by the track Secrets and Lies by Ruelle.
A Feud Years in the Making
Claire and Katie have been embroiled in a long-running feud. Katie recently reignited the tension when she alleged that Can Group had banned her from appearing in Princess’ new reality series.
Years earlier, Katie filed legal action against Peter, Claire, and former representatives, claiming they were behind a smear campaign. She also blamed Claire for the collapse of her marriage in 2009, going as far as to accuse her of having an affair with Peter — allegations that ended in court.
Katie lost the case and was ordered to pay substantial damages, legal fees, and publicly apologise to both Peter and Claire.
Katie’s Peace Call — and Peter’s Retort
Earlier on Thursday, Katie, 47, had called for “peace talks” with Peter, claiming Princess was being “unfairly” pulled into their feud amid rumours of a family rift after she was left out of Princess’ reality show.
Hours later, Peter released his detailed rebuttal:
“For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones — but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.
The latest comments about my children’s welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood.
In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.
In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today.
Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months.”
Katie’s spokesperson told the Daily Mail: “Kate is in a much better and clearer headspace and is at peace with the situation. This was in the past, and she doesn’t feel the need for tit-for-tat comments. She’s handling it the right way, and it’s now in her lawyers’ hands. Kate will no longer be gaslighted and bullied as she once was.”
Katie’s Side on the Podcast
On her Katie Price Show podcast, Katie insisted she doesn’t care about not appearing in Princess’ show, but said she wants to be present to watch her daughter’s work, as she used to do during her own modelling career.
She stressed: “It’s not fair to bring Princess piggy in the middle. Life would be more at peace if we could just sit down and talk. I’m not saying we have to be best friends, but for the sake of the kids, there’s room for everyone to support them.”
Katie’s sister Sophie urged Princess to speak up to her management, but Katie replied that her daughter would be “too scared.”
From Golden Couple to Public Rivalry
Once reality TV’s “golden couple” with a lavish wedding and big-money deals, Katie and Peter’s marriage ended after four years, with Katie claiming Peter chose to leave. The split marked the start of a very public and often bitter rivalry.
Princess recently revealed on The Princess Diaries that she once felt she “couldn’t just go” to her dad because of her parents’ mutual dislike. She now attends counselling to help navigate the ongoing tensions.
In recent weeks, Katie has repeatedly criticised “people who used to look after me” — widely believed to be a reference to Peter’s management company — and accused them of keeping her out of her daughter’s milestone moments, including her 18th birthday party.
When Sophie teased, “You aren’t on brand, Katie — you’re too risky,” Katie replied: “It’s pathetic. I’m her mother. It’s so sad when certain people who used to look after me are now looking after…” before Sophie urged her to “save it for another day.”
