In a special twist, Amanda will be joining her best friend Alan at his newly purchased £3.75m castle in Berwick-upon-Tweed, where the cameras will follow the renovation of the historic mansion.
The castle, which Alan bought after winning Celebrity Traitors, is being transformed into a luxury hotel and spa. The renovation, captured in a series by Expectation TV (the same team behind Clarkson’s Farm), is set to be a star-studded adventure. Alan is hoping to replicate the success of Jeremy Clarkson’s farm ventures with this new passion project.
A Sneak Peek Into Alan’s Castle Dream
“I’m so excited to see Alan’s castle,” said Amanda, eager to visit after her filming in Scotland. “I’ve got an appointment — I can’t wait to check it out.”
Alan, who is turning 50, admitted that most men experience a midlife crisis by buying a sports car or growing a ponytail, but for him, it was all about buying a castle. “I’ve always dreamt of this,” he shared. “All I want is a turret to call my own.”
Built around a medieval tower house, the 19th-century Ayton Castle includes 16 bedrooms, 160 acres of parkland, and even a miniature railway. Cameras will capture Amanda’s visit, giving fans an inside look at the lavish transformation.
