Princess Andre has been overwhelmed with messages of support after standing her ground during a modelling debut in Ibiza, when she refused to wear a skimpy bikini top at the last minute during a fashion shoot.
The 18-year-old model and TV personality — daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre — is making her mark in the entertainment industry, even landing her own TV series, The Princess Diaries. The show follows her journey into modelling, launching her own business, and stepping out as an independent young woman.
Episode three of the series gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her life as a model. It came shortly after Princess publicly stated she is “independent” from her parents, speaking out in the wake of tensions with her mother Katie Price.
During a fashion event in Ibiza, a sudden change to the runway lineup meant Princess was asked to wear a revealing bikini top and skirt. The request left her visibly uncomfortable.
“The worst thing is trying to be confident in something you’re not going to be confident in,” she said. “Obviously, I feel fine wearing a bikini in a pool because we’re in a swimming pool. No-one actually cares. But to walk down a catwalk in a bikini top… I’m going to feel exposed. I’m going to feel so uncomfortable.”
She added: “I was already anxious in the first place, but this has just made it ten times worse.”
Princess confided in her content manager about her insecurities, admitting:
“It’s just my boobs — I hate my boobs, there’s just nothing to them, it’s embarrassing. They’re all 20-something-year-olds with massive boobs, it’s awkward.”
Her manager reassured her: “You don’t need massive boobs to look amazing.”
Despite her nerves, Princess carried on with the show and later shared photos from the runway with a lighthearted caption:
“Well… at least I didn’t fall over on the runway. Who caught last night’s episode?”
Her openness and vulnerability struck a chord with viewers. One fan wrote: “You handled yourself so well beyond your years when everything changed. Keep shining.” Another added: “Binged them all as soon as it was out! It’s lovely to see you growing as your own person. Your bond with Junior and your family is so lovely to see.”
A third commented: “You’re doing so well for yourself. I have absolutely loved watching!” while a fourth shared: “You looked the most real there, Princess, on that catwalk. You looked healthy and natural. I feel there’s a lot of pressure and you felt you couldn’t say no, which is awful. Love your relationship with Junior.”
However, the show’s run has been shadowed by rumours of a fallout with her mother. Katie Price revealed she was banned from attending Princess’ 18th birthday party because it was being filmed for the series.
The teenager’s show is produced by the same company that once managed Katie during her marriage to Peter Andre, but they have since fallen out. On her Katie Price Show podcast, Katie claimed:
“Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me. It’s pathetic. I’m her mother. It’s sad… Princess was like, ‘I’m having a party’. And I wasn’t invited because it was for ‘filming’.”
