Derry Girls favourite Saoirse-Monica Jackson has shared her jaw-dropping wedding album after tying the knot with DJ Denis Sulta in a whirlwind celebration that had fans and guests in awe.

The Irish actress, 31, broke with tradition, walking down the aisle in a striking leggy mini dress complete with a corseted bodice and dramatic train. Designed by Annie Doble of Annie’s Ibiza, the gown included a tartan underlayer — a sweet nod to her Scottish groom — which she paired with towering platforms and a flowing veil.
Meanwhile, Denis, born Hector Barbour, went full Highland style in a traditional Scottish wedding kilt, scarf, and sporran, creating picture-perfect contrast in snaps captured by StoryofEve.
A wedding to remember
The couple, who went public with their relationship in September 2021, exchanged vows at the stunning Dromquinna Manor in County Kerry. They were joined by family, friends, and one very emotional bridesmaid — Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, 38, Saoirse’s Derry Girls co-star who played Michelle in the hit Channel 4 sitcom.

Jamie-Lee wore an elegant scoop-neck green silk gown and was visibly moved as her friend stunned in her custom bridal look. After the ceremony, she was seen laughing and celebrating alongside the bride.

Guinness, glitter and surprises

Far from a formal affair, the wedding quickly turned into a wild celebration. Saoirse was seen enjoying a pint of Guinness before hitting the dance floor and partying with her new husband into the early hours.
The three-day festivities included multiple outfit changes for the bride — from her daring mini dress to a sheer white lace number that wowed guests. And just when partygoers thought they’d seen it all, more surprises were revealed: her father changed into a full Darth Vader costume, a performer arrived dressed as Elphaba from Wicked, and an Irish storyteller entertained the crowd.
Reflecting on their big day, Saoirse told Vogue: “We wanted both of our cultures and our families and friends to be at the centre of it.”
From proposal to party marathon
The couple became engaged in 2023 during a beach trip to Donegal, but kept the news under wraps for nearly a year before confirming their engagement.
Looking back on the wedding bash, Saoirse admitted: “Dancing went well into the early hours, we were in bed at 4.30am, but some were out until 7am so there were a few sore heads the next day. Then we had buses pick everyone up and take them to a pub down the road, before we headed back and kept partying at the bar!”
For her hen party, Saoirse celebrated in Montreux, Switzerland, wearing a tartan corset and embellished cowboy hat while surrounded by her closest friends and family.
Fans stunned by romance reveal

While Saoirse has now proudly shared her married life, fans of Derry Girls were once stunned to discover she had been dating the well-known DJ all along.

A viral tweet read: “There are some random celebrity couples out there but Denis Sulta and Erin from Derry Girls takes the cake.” Many admitted they were shocked to learn of the relationship: “My head is gone. Why did I not know this?” one fan wrote. Another added: “HOW am I only finding this out now?”
Saoirse, who also starred in The Five, made their romance public in 2021 after posting cosy snaps from a getaway to Monachyle Mhor Hotel in Scotland. Since then, she has often shared photos of herself and Denis on Instagram — but their incredible three-day wedding party has now given fans their most unforgettable glimpse into the couple’s love story yet.
