The latest offense took place when a Ford Capri registered in her name was caught speeding on the A64 near Sutton in North Yorkshire. Despite receiving a letter from police asking her to confirm whether she was the driver, Price failed to respond. As a result, she was convicted of failing to provide the information and now faces a six-month driving ban and legal costs exceeding £1,000.

According to court documents, Price was charged with speeding and failing to identify the driver of the vehicle. The Ford Capri was captured by a speed camera traveling at 80mph on a stretch of the A64 where the limit was 70mph at 3:03 pm on October 15 of last year.

Price was sent an initial police letter about the incident on October 20, followed by a reminder on November 10, warning her about impending criminal proceedings. However, no response was received from Price, and as a result, she was found guilty of failing to respond to the charge at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday. Magistrate Claire Sagar fined Price £660, ordered her to pay £120 in costs, and imposed a £264 victim surcharge.

Katie Price, known for her role on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, has had a long history of driving offenses. In December 2010, she was banned for six months after admitting to a speeding charge, and in 2012, she was disqualified for a year for failing to respond to speeding tickets. She also received another six-month ban in February 2018 after being caught speeding.

In January 2019, Price was in court again for driving while disqualified, which resulted in a three-month ban. A month later, she was convicted of being drunk in charge of a vehicle after her car veered off the road and hit a grass verge. At the time, she claimed that a mystery man had been driving but later admitted to taking drugs and said she shouldn’t have been behind the wheel.

Later in 2019, Price faced further legal troubles for failing to disclose the name of the driver following a car crash, which resulted in an 18-month road ban. In 2021, she was handed a 16-week suspended prison sentence for drink-driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. The incident involved Price flipping her car and admitting she had taken drugs. She was also ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and attend 30 rehabilitation sessions.

In 2024, Price was fined £880 for driving without a license and insurance in Northamptonshire, though she avoided another driving ban.

John Scruby, from the Campaign Against Drink Driving, called for Price to be jailed for her ongoing behavior. He stated, “It’s time people realize that she is not going to listen and will keep doing this again and again. The only way to stop her is to put her behind bars.”

Price’s latest conviction was handled in the Single Justice Procedure, a confidential court process where magistrates address criminal cases behind closed doors. Due to the nature of the proceedings, it’s unclear whether Price was given the opportunity to contest the driving ban or if the court was aware of her extensive driving record.

The speeding charge was ultimately withdrawn by police, but Price’s continuing legal and driving troubles leave many wondering whether she will ever change her ways.
