Michelle Keegan has given her followers a peek into the sweet details of her daughter Palma’s extravagant 1st birthday party, just days after dismissing rumors of tension with her mother-in-law, Carol Wright.

The Coronation Street actress, 38, and husband Mark Wright enlisted the help of luxury event planners Luxe Events And Parties to create a memorable celebration for their little one. The glamorous bash, held at their lavish Essex home, featured everything from pastel decorations to adorable soft toys and matching outfits for Palma.
In a series of Instagram posts, Michelle shared moments from the special day, including Palma’s multiple outfits displayed on hangers and sweet posters around the house reading, “Isn’t she lovely, isn’t she onederful.” As she reflected on her daughter growing up, Michelle shared, “Can I ask where the past year’s gone, please?”
Guests were treated to white chocolate cake pops decorated with pink bows, a two-tier cake, and an array of pink and white cupcakes. The pastel theme was complemented by a soft play set-up, a balloon-filled inflatable, and a bouncy castle—making it a truly unforgettable celebration.
These sweet moments come after Michelle’s mother-in-law, Carol, recently addressed reports of tension between her and Michelle. Claims had emerged that Carol had made subtle digs at her daughter-in-law, but both women have now refuted the speculation. Carol dismissed the rumors, stating she and Michelle have a “close, supportive relationship.”
The tension claims began after Carol made controversial comments about women in bikinis during an episode of her family podcast Wright At Home. Carol’s remarks, which referred to thong bikinis as “gross and unattractive,” sparked a backlash, with fans speculating that the comments were a thinly veiled criticism of Michelle, who frequently posts bikini photos as part of her swimwear brand, Orfila Bee.
Despite the uproar, Michelle posted a sweet selfie with her mother and daughter on Instagram ahead of Mother’s Day, showing that there was no bad blood between the two. She wrote, “2 mummys and a baby. How cuuuuute are these pjs from my @veryuk collection??? Perfect for Mother’s Day to match all the generations!”
While Carol’s podcast clip was removed from social media, it quickly made its way to TikTok, where it caused a stir. Carol and her daughters Jess and Natalya have since apologized, but the incident raised questions about double standards, particularly when Jess had previously posted similar bikini photos during her time on The Only Way Is Essex.
In the midst of the controversy, Michelle has shown nothing but love for her daughter’s special day, and the lavish birthday bash continues to capture the hearts of her followers.
