Amanda Holden didn’t hold back as she took a cheeky swipe at her husband, Chris Hughes, during her appearance at Crufts 2026. The Britain’s Got Talent judge was in high spirits as she joined Claudia Winkleman at the iconic dog event, held at Birmingham’s NEC. The duo, who were part of the Channel 4 coverage, shared laughs and delightful moments as they discussed their experience at Crufts.
However, it was Amanda’s hilarious (and extremely savage) comment about her husband that stole the spotlight. The 55-year-old star, known for her cheeky humor, made a shocking revelation during a candid chat with Claudia.
Amanda’s “Savage” Putdown and Shocking Confession
During her conversation with Claudia, Amanda openly admitted she prefers to sleep and even bathe with her dogs, Minnie and Rudy, instead of her husband, Chris! 😱
When asked about her dogs, Amanda gushed about Minnie, a rescue dog from Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, and Rudy, who’s now 15. She humorously shared, “Minnie is a shih tzu and toy spaniel, and she’s literally the sweetest.” But it was her next admission that really caught fans off guard.
“Do I let my dogs sleep in the bed? Only when Chris isn’t there,” Amanda revealed. “Chris can’t sleep with them in the bed because they take up all the space!”
She didn’t stop there, cheekily adding, “I often choose to sleep with the dogs! Sorry, darling, it’s not Friday!” Amanda even joked that it wasn’t a special occasion like a birthday or Christmas, making Claudia laugh along with the audience.
A Day at Crufts
Amanda’s appearance at Crufts wasn’t all about her dogs—she also gave fans a glimpse of the event, where dogs from all over the world compete for the prestigious Best in Show title. But the real treat came from Amanda’s candid and hilarious comments about her family life.
Crufts and Doggy Love
The Fool Me Once star proudly displayed portraits of her beloved pets, Minnie and Rudy, embroidered on the back of her jacket during the event. It was clear from her enthusiasm and affectionate comments about her dogs that she’s a true dog lover. From sharing her dogs’ quirky personalities to revealing her bath time antics, Amanda truly had fans in stitches.
Last year, Amanda shocked fans by sharing a story about how she bathed with her dogs after they returned from a beach trip. Her Minnie the Moocher had rolled in sand, and Amanda decided to clean her up in the bath, with Rudy joining in for a scrub too. Her fans were divided, with some horrified by the idea of bathing with their pets, while others saw it as adorable. Amanda’s openness about her “doggy bath time” moments left her co-host Jamie Theakston and their producer with their heads in their hands.
What’s Next for Amanda?
While some fans may have been taken aback by Amanda’s candid remarks, one thing is for sure—she’s keeping it real! From Crufts to her fun banter with Claudia, it’s clear Amanda knows how to entertain and keep fans talking.
