In an exclusive interview with Fabulous Magazine, Una Healy opens up about her life after The Saturdays, including her struggles with dating, her painful divorce from Ben Foden, and the possibility of the band reuniting.

After years of being one-fifth of one of the UK’s biggest girl bands, Una is now embracing a quieter life. Following a public breakup with her ex-husband Ben Foden, the 44-year-old singer moved back to her hometown in Ireland to raise her two children, Aoife and Tadhg.

“I don’t have any sort of fancy life whatsoever,” she admits, reflecting on her down-to-earth life now that she’s swapped the glitter of showbiz for a more relaxed existence. Her kids are growing up with full-blown Irish accents—something Una finds amusing considering their early English accents.

But despite her normal, family-centric life, Una can’t escape the scrutiny of the public eye. In her candid conversation, she discusses the pressures of raising her kids as a single parent and shares her thoughts on the rise of the “manosphere.” She also reveals how her son, Tadhg, is learning from her past and vows never to cheat, a promise Una attributes to his observations of her past relationship with Ben.

Una also takes the opportunity to clarify rumors of a “throuple” involving her, boxer David Haye, and model Sian Osborne, calling the gossip “upsetting” and revealing that she didn’t even know what the word meant at the time.

Currently single, Una says she’s “happy on my own right now” but admits to moments where she wonders what it would be like to have someone special in her life. She explains that she is focused on her music and self-growth, saying: “I am gonna attract, not chase.”

As for a potential reunion of The Saturdays, Una teases that it could happen—just like other girl groups are getting back together. She hints that while they’re not actively planning a reunion, the girls do stay in touch via their WhatsApp group, where the conversation has shifted from band business to baby tips.

Although Una doesn’t see a reunion happening immediately, with 2027 marking the 20th anniversary of The Saturdays, fans can still hold onto hope. “I imagine there’s always a chance it will happen,” she says, adding that she’d love to perform with the girls again. But until then, she’s content with her role as “Mammy.”
Una’s new EP Beating Heart is available for download and streaming starting this Friday.
