The film is based on the bestselling book Angel in the Rubble: The Miraculous Rescue of 9/11’s Last Survivor, telling the incredible true story of NYC transit worker Genelee Guzman (played by Sherri Shepherd). After being trapped under Tower One for 27 hours, she’s rescued by a mysterious man, Paul (Dondré T. Whitfield), whose unwavering presence leads her to believe he might have been an angel.
Robin, who runs her production company Rock’n Robin, is stepping into the producer role while also lending her star power to the film.
