Katie Price has opened up with surprising honesty about motherhood, admitting she doesn’t believe she has always been the mother her children, Princess and Junior Andre, deserved.
The former glamour model made the heartfelt confession while promoting her new Sky documentary, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, which explores the highs and lows of her extraordinary life and career.
Katie, who shares daughter Princess, 19, and son Junior, 20, with former husband Peter Andre, revealed that neither of her children has watched the documentary yet. However, she hopes that when they do, it will help them better understand the struggles she has faced behind the scenes.
Speaking candidly, Katie said Junior’s biggest concern was whether the documentary would embarrass him.
“He asked me, ‘Mum, there’s nothing in there that’s going to embarrass me, is there?’ And I told him, ‘Of course not.'”
Rather than causing discomfort, Katie hopes the film will answer questions her children may have carried for years.
She explained that while Princess and Junior already know she experienced a mental health breakdown, the documentary gives much deeper insight into how those difficult years affected her family life.
Katie admitted there were times she wasn’t the mother her children wanted or needed, saying that although she has hurt people in the past, it was never intentional. She added that she is genuinely sorry for any pain she caused and hopes her children will understand the reasons behind some of her past decisions.
The television personality also spoke openly about the lasting impact of trauma she says she experienced from a young age. According to Katie, those experiences shaped many of her later relationships and continue to influence how she approaches trust and romance today.
Despite the painful memories, she said she has never hidden the truth from her children and is always willing to answer their questions honestly.
Away from the documentary, Katie is also enjoying working alongside Princess on her daughter’s new television project.
She couldn’t hide her pride while speaking about both of her children, praising Princess for carving out her own career in the spotlight.
Laughing, Katie joked that the pair look remarkably alike—although she insists Princess is “prettier” than she ever was. She also admitted she encourages her daughter to show more confidence and personality during red carpet appearances, believing authenticity is what truly helps people stand out.
While Katie’s life has often made headlines for its ups and downs, this latest confession offers a more reflective side of the star—one focused less on controversy and more on accountability, healing, and the hope that her children will one day see the full story behind the woman they know as Mum.
