Fans of Birds of a Feather have been given a rare glimpse into Pauline Quirkeâs life as she continues to live with dementia. Longtime friend and co-star Linda Robson revealed that the 66-year-old actress is âdoing really wellâ following a challenging period of ill health, including surgery to remove pancreatic tumours.
Speaking to Woman, Linda said: âTouch wood, we have come to the end of my illness. Me and Lesley [Joseph] are planning to work together on something in the next few months.â Though a full revival of Birds of a Feather isnât expected, fans can look forward to seeing the duo collaborate again in new projects.
Pauline, who retired from acting in 2021 after her Alzheimerâs diagnosis, has been spending time focusing on her recovery and enjoying life with her family. Linda also paid tribute to her children, Lauren, Louis, and Bobbie: âMy kids have been amazing, they really have.â
The beloved actress has even taken a well-earned holiday to Ibiza and is now embracing life with renewed confidence. âI want to make the most of life. I like being out and about now that my big worries are over,â Linda shared.
After months away from the spotlight, Pauline is now looking ahead, prioritising her health, family, and upcoming collaborations with friends, showing fans that even in the face of dementia, there are moments of joy, hope, and resilience.
